Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch is one of those Arizona wedding venues that truly speaks for itself. With stunning desert views, the Salt River, and the beautiful backdrop of the Bulldog Cliffs, it offers an unforgettable setting for an outdoor wedding. Our team at Sage & Stone Weddings has coordinated countless weddings at the ranch, and along the way, we’ve learned a few things that can make the planning process easier and help your wedding day run smoothly.
One of the biggest things to consider when planning a Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch wedding is the weather. The entire venue is outdoors, which is part of what makes it so beautiful but it also means choosing your wedding date carefully.
Arizona summers are extremely hot, so we recommend considering planning your celebration in October, November, March or April. Your guests will be much more comfortable, and you’ll be able to fully enjoy the day as well.
Because parking at the ranch is limited, transportation is an important part of the planning process. We recommend bussing your guests in from a local hotel whenever possible. This makes arrival and departure much easier for your guests and allows everyone to enjoy the celebration without worrying about parking or transportation after the wedding.
One of our favorite things about Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch is that the natural landscape does so much of the design work for you. The desert scenery and mountain views create an incredible backdrop, allowing you to keep your décor intentional and personal.
From beautiful floral installations to custom signage, lounge areas, and lighting, there are so many ways to bring your personality into the space without competing with the natural beauty of the venue. But one thing to consider is the venue has a no flame policy, so let those flower centerpieces shine! We have seen everything from western inspired designs to timeless green and ivory themes, the ranch is truly a blank space to let your personality shine through your design.
Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch allows you to bring in your own vendors, with the exception of the bar, which gives couples a lot of flexibility when building their vendor team. That flexibility is wonderful, but we always recommend working with vendors who are familiar with the ranch and its policies or who have experience working at similar outdoor venues. For example, there is no kitchen onsite for catering. So having a caterer who understands how to successfully execute an off-site catering setup can make a huge difference in how smoothly dinner service runs.
Your vendor team should understand the logistics of an outdoor ranch wedding and be prepared for the unique considerations that come with the property and everything that comes with a working ranch. By booking with us, we provide a detailed list of vendors who we love, trust and have experience with this stunning location.
We work with Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch often and absolutely love their team, the venue, and those incredible views. Whether you hire us for full-service planning or bring us in specifically for our month-of coordination, we’ll review all of the final details to make sure everything is buttoned up before your big day.
Our goal is simple: you enjoy your wedding, and we handle the logistics.
When you’re celebrating at a venue as beautiful as Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch, you deserve to be present for every moment and not worrying about timelines, vendors, transportation, or setup.
