If you have never planned a large event or wedding before, odds are something may fall through the cracks and be forgotten. Especially if there is no planner or coordinator involved! The last few months leading up to your wedding can be stressful. While you may be focused on finalizing the seating chart, picking out the accessories or breaking in your wedding day shoes, don’t forget to cross off the logistical to-do items from your list!
Funny enough, most people forget they have to get to and from the venue at some point. But how? Whether you rent a luxury getaway car for yourself, schedule a charter bus for your guests or plan out Uber rides for the crew, planning ahead on how you and your wedding crew will get to the venue and back home safely will set the foundation for a stress-free day.
Arizona is known for our sunny clear skies, but don’t underestimate the surprise Monsoons we get in the Fall. Even this past October, the first few weeks were dark, gloomy and very VERY rainy. Some venues will have an indoor option, while a majority don’t. If you don’t have a planner or coordinator supporting you then it’s crucial you work with your venue to discuss what options they may have, including renting a large tent for your celebration.
After the last dance or grand exit, what’s next? Someone has to cleanup all your decor and it shouldn’t ne the newlyweds! Most coordinator/planning teams will handle packing up all your personal decor but someone still needs to take it home at the end of the night. Find someone you love and trust to make sure all your decor, gifts and marriage license makes it home at the end of the night!
While this may be a hot topic to some, your vendors do need to eat as well. When submitting your final headcount to your catering team, don’t forget to include your vendor count so catering can plan accordingly.
What’s that saying again, Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it’s true! Wedding days are long and fast moving and it’s very important to eat and drink plenty of water throughout the day because nobody wants a hangry wedding crew. Make sure you have a breakfast and lunch plan setup and a stash of easy snacks and water for everyone. Trust us, you’ll thank us later!
