Your wedding wont be perfect.
Yikes, probably not the words you wanted to hear coming from a wedding planner right? As much as I’d love to paint a fairytale scene for you and say everything will go perfectly smooth and all the details will fall effortlessly into place… that’s just not the case babe.
I absolutely love wedding days, chaos and all. The intimate moments between you and your person, the music blasting as you’re getting ready for the day with your childhood besties, the constant butterflies in your stomach as you move from one event to the next getting ONE step closer to that altar and saying I do! Even grandpa trying to be sneaky with his iPad mid ceremony. It’s the day you’ve been waiting for, the day you’ve been dreaming of for years and working so hard for everything to fall perfectly into place. But let me be the first to say – your wedding won’t be perfect. And that’s ok.
There are so many moving parts that go into your day and so many people involved that something will go down, big or small. The rentals may run ungodly late, what you thought would be a sunny day turns into a constant downpour, the only road leading to the venue may close down 45 minutes before the ceremony (yes, that’s happened!).
Embrace the chaos because that’s the beauty of marriage. It’s not about how much money you spent on the décor or getting that Pinterest worthy photo. It’s about you and your life partner getting through the tough times together, so why not start off with the wedding day? And odds are, you won’t even KNOW shit hit the fan until your Maid of Honor tells you the following week just how drunk your Uncle Jerry got, he tried to steal a golf cart and go for a joy ride (yes… that also happened).
The “imperfections” are what makes you, you! Embrace the chaos and trust your vendors to handle the day. I promise you, we’ve seen it all but we’re all about the perfectly imperfect unique to you weddings.
